چکیده

Orientations of laser induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) are usually considered to be governed by the polarization state. In this work, we unveil that fluid dynamics femtosecond (fs) ablation in liquid (fs-LAL) can easily break restriction produce irregular circular-LIPSS (CLIPPS) and crisscross-LIPSS (CCLIPSS). Fs silicon water shows formation diverse LIPSS depending on conditions. At a high power 700 mW (repetition rate 100 kHz, pulse duration 457 fs wavelength 1045 nm), single/twin CLIPSS produced at bottom macropores several microns diameter due strong vortexes occurrence vortex shedding effect. Theoretical simulations validate our speculation about with an ultrahigh static pressure, which induce microstructure trenches cracks sidewalls for fs-LAL Si tungsten (W) water, respectively. low 50 mW, weak produced, only give birth curved valleys grooves. Consequently, it is deduced plays crucial role macropores. Mountain-like microstructures complex cause CCLIPSS them. It believed presented work open up new possibilities diversify morphologies formed fs-LAL.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Silicon nanoparticles generated by femtosecond laser ablation in a liquid environment

Silicon nanoparticles were generated by femtosecond laser [387 nm, 180 fs, 1 kHz, pulse energy = 3.5 lJ (fluence = 0.8 J/cm)] ablation of silicon in deionized water. Nanoparticles with diameters from *5 up to *200 nm were observed to be formed in the colloidal solution. Their size distribution follows log-normal function with statistical median diameter of &20 nm. Longer ablation time leads to ...

Mechanisms of nanoparticle formation by ultra-short laser ablation of metals in liquid environment.

Laser ablation in liquids is now commonly used to produce colloidal nanoparticles (NPs) that have found numerous applications in different areas. In experiments, NPs of different materials can be rather easily obtained by using laser systems with various pulse durations, shapes, wavelengths, and fluences. In this paper, we focus our attention on metal (gold) NPs produced by ultra-short laser pu...
